LGT Wealth Management UK LLP is a UK-based partnership wholly owned by the private banking group LGT. The firm manages over thirty billion pounds in assets with around seven hundred staff and maintains a head office in London plus regional offices. The Central Investment Team delivers model-based and bespoke discretionary portfolio services aligned to house views for private clients.

Day-to-day work centres on managing portfolios, implementing trades, and maintaining model allocations while handling ad-hoc cash management. Team members contribute portfolio and market analysis both proactively and on request, taking ownership of tactical positions and supporting the investment committee process.

The team operates within a broader business unit focused on high net worth clients, providing portfolio management, investment analysis and relationship support. Long-standing client relationships position the group as trusted advisors, with full integration into central research and various investment committees.

Requirements

  • Experience contributing to discretionary portfolio management for private clients
  • Ability to deliver written and verbal investment communications
  • Strong portfolio and market analysis skills
  • Familiarity with investment committee processes and materials preparation
  • Competence in implementing trades and maintaining model portfolios
  • Understanding of house view implementation across bespoke and model mandates

Responsibilities

  • Contribute written portfolio strategy communications for monthly and quarterly investment output
  • Assist in the creation of outlook and portfolio strategy slides on a periodic basis
  • Present portfolio and market analysis at monthly internal meetings
  • Provide portfolio and market analysis both proactively and on request
  • Take ownership of a portfolio tactical position and provide analysis for clients and the investment committee
  • Assist in the creation of materials for the investment committee
  • Monitor and maintain a list of portfolios including daily cash management and model change trades
  • Manage tailored client criteria within portfolios in line with house views
