State Street Global Markets provides specialized research, trading, securities lending, and innovative portfolio strategies to institutional asset owners and managers. The Senior KYC Analyst is a member of SSGM’s Client On-boarding team. This role performs KYC Periodic Reviews on SSGM customers and drives ongoing improvements in the AML operating model.
This position partners with the SSGM front office and Global SSGM COO to support business growth and create efficiencies in the global operating model. The analyst works independently on assignments within established AML procedures and guidelines. Excellent communication with clients occurs via telephone and email.

This role offers a hybrid model to balance work from home and office based on needs and requirements. It acts as escalation point for business queries, sanctions, and policy breaches. Ongoing counsel on AML risk supports the EMEA Regional Head.
Requirements
- Work independently on AML assignments within established procedures and guidelines
- Knowledge of State Street Corporate AML Policy and EMEA AML requirements
- Experience performing KYC Periodic Reviews for institutional clients
- Familiarity with oversight of outsourced compliance activities to FLOD, FIU
- Ability to handle sanctions screening, negative news checks and policy breaches
- Proficiency in completing UARs and collaborating on SARs with FIU
- Experience with transaction monitoring and AML metrics reporting
- Skills in client communication for KYC and AML escalations
Responsibilities
- Ensure SSGM businesses in EMEA are compliant with State Street Corporate AML Policy, Procedure and AML Requirements
- Provide oversight of activities outsourced to the FLOD Operations team, Compliance and the FIU
- Ensure KYC is completed for all SSGM clients at periodic review for EMEA and Germany in a timely manner
- Act as escalation point for sanctions, negative news or other policy breaches and complete UARs
- Participate in transaction monitoring weekly review meetings
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Global AML Centre to assess ongoing PRs
- Actively chase and assist with completion of all overdue reviews and escalate where necessary
- Provide ongoing counsel to the EMEA Regional Head regarding AML risk
