This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional to partner with senior leaders across Finance, Risk, and HR—three functions central to IG's governance, growth, and transformation. Reporting to the Head of HR for Group Functions & Trading & Operations, you will be the trusted HR partner delivering strategic people planning through to operational excellence.
Actively manage the relationship with the Chief Risk Officer, gaining valuable executive-level partnering experience. This role blends strategic and operational HR work, including organisational design, talent planning, and culture initiatives alongside core HR delivery. Build trusted relationships with leaders at all levels in these key functions.
Partner with managers to translate business needs into practical people solutions, deepening commercial impact. Requirements
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in finance, risk, or HR functions
- Proven executive-level stakeholder management and relationship building
- Expertise in strategic workforce planning and headcount resource allocation
- Strong skills in talent reviews, succession planning, and performance management
- Ability to handle employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, and absence matters
- Competence in coaching managers on performance conversations and underperformance
- Knowledge of aligning people priorities with business objectives in a commercial environment
- Familiarity with organisational design and culture initiatives in fintech or professional services
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR partner for Finance, Risk, and HR functions, building trusted relationships with leaders at all levels
- Actively manage the relationship with the Chief Risk Officer, providing proactive HR advice
- Build and input to annual people plans for each client group, aligning people priorities with business objectives
- Partner with leaders to understand future capability needs and translate these into workforce plans
- Identify critical roles, skills gaps, and succession risks within client groups
- Support performance management cycles, ensuring quality conversations, fair calibration, and appropriate differentiation
- Own employee relations cases within client groups, managing them through to resolution
- Champion IG's values and performance principles, role-modelling expected behaviours
