About this role

As a Senior Consultant within our Climate Strategy team, you will play a leading role in the delivery of complex sustainability and climate advisory projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will provide strategic advice and technical expertise across climate strategy, net zero planning and decarbonisation, helping organisations navigate evolving regulatory, investor and stakeholder expectations.

Key areas of delivery include net zero target setting in line with the Science Based Targets initiative, development of costed decarbonisation roadmaps, design of Climate Transition Plans, and strategic advice on GHG accounting and climate disclosures. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Working alongside our engineering, data and change management specialists, you will support clients in developing and implementing credible climate transition strategies. The role is flexible in location with an expectation of regular collaboration from one of our UK offices, with some travel to client sites and other offices.

In addition to project delivery, you will contribute to business development activities, service innovation, thought leadership and the continued growth of Bip.Verco's Climate Strategy practice. We believe sustainable transformation succeeds when it is embedded into strategy, decision-making and operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in climate strategy advisory, preferably within financial services or related sectors.
In-depth knowledge of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Corporate Standard and sector-specific guidance.
Strong analytical skills for developing costed decarbonisation roadmaps and transition plans.
Familiarity with GHG accounting protocols (e.g., GHG Protocol) and climate disclosure frameworks (e.g., TCFD, CSRD).
Ability to lead project teams and coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary specialists.
Experience managing client relationships and building trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders.
Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Deliver complex sustainability and climate advisory projects for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Contribute to business development, service innovation, thought leadership and growth of the Climate Strategy practice.
