As Group Financial Crime Governance and Risk Senior Manager, you will maintain, uplift, and enforce the global financial crime risk program, bridging enterprise strategy and operational execution.
You will operate as a critical pillar of the Second Line of Defence, providing robust oversight and constructive challenge to ensure risk assessments function as strategic tools. You will enable proactive risk management through continuous evolution of methodologies and Key Risk Indicators.
Collaborating closely with the First Line of Defence, you will monitor adherence to financial crime risk appetite and support remediation plans. You will also partner with Wise Platform FinCrime Compliance to integrate risk assessments across various integration models.
Your work will directly drive smarter due diligence and a safer platform, overseeing sophisticated MI dashboards and reporting. This role offers the opportunity to shape the global financial crime risk framework for a rapidly growing fintech.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of financial crime risk management including AML, CTF, sanctions, and bribery regulations.
- Experience in developing and maintaining risk frameworks aligned with enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Proven ability to design and implement risk assessment methodologies such as FCRA, country, customer, and industry risk assessments.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in defining Key Risk Indicators and sophisticated MI dashboards and reporting.
- Ability to provide robust oversight and constructive challenge as part of a Second Line of Defence function.
- Experience collaborating with First Line of Defence teams to set risk appetite and drive remediation of control weaknesses.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and evolve the Group Financial Crime Risk Framework, ensuring full integration with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Lead the design and implementation of core risk assessment methodologies including FCRA, Country Risk, Customer Risk, and Industry Risk assessments.
- Provide 2LoD oversight on entity-wide FCRA, ensuring consistency and alignment of inherent risk and control mapping across all entities.
- Partner with the Group Wise Platform FinCrime Compliance team to ensure FCRA captures specific risks and accurate control mapping for each integration model.
- Collaborate with the First Line of Defence in the continuous review and setting of financial crime risk appetite.
- Monitor adherence to risk appetite and provide expert 2LoD support in defining remediation plans when breaches occur.
- Identify opportunities to use risk assessment outputs to enhance Customer Risk Assessment and due diligence processes, and provide oversight over continuous control monitoring outputs.
