The Infrastructure Investments Group advises a perpetual-life strategy focused on private infrastructure equity investing diversified by geography and subsector.

The strategy manages c.US$47 billion in committed capital across 18 portfolio companies that own c.1,053 underlying assets globally. It targets control positions in companies providing essential services including utilities, renewable energy, and transportation infrastructure primarily in OECD countries.

The Investment Principal Associate works closely with senior team members to develop and execute business plans for portfolio companies. Daily work includes liaising with management on M&A and financings while participating in budgeting and strategic planning processes.

The role involves attending board meetings, overseeing shareholder relationships, supporting fundraising, and screening new investment opportunities through due diligence and valuation. Associates draft investment memorandums and interact with sellers, bankers, and advisors on acquisition opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in private equity or infrastructure buy-side investing
  • Experience in investment banking, project finance, or related infrastructure operating company roles
  • Strategic consulting experience with prior work on infrastructure assets may be considered

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business plans for portfolio companies pre- and post-acquisition
  • Liaise directly with portfolio company management on business development including M&A and financings
  • Participate actively in budgeting and strategic planning processes at portfolio companies
  • Attend board and committee meetings for portfolio companies
  • Oversee and manage relationships with shareholders, operating partners, and co-investors
  • Monitor and maximize cash flow from investments
  • Support all aspects of fundraising activities
  • Screen investment opportunities through due diligence, valuation, and investment committee memorandums
