This role involves supporting business units to enhance controls and remain compliant with financial crime requirements. You will be at the forefront of ensuring alignment with local laws on anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and economic sanctions. Work in a fast-paced team of professionals dedicated to regulatory expectations.
Key focus includes monitoring the legal framework with the UK MLRO and managing suspicious activity reporting processes. Coordinate management attention on money laundering risks and provide subject matter expertise on AML/CTF matters. Support second line testing and policy development for countering financial crime risks.

Requirements
- Knowledge of UK anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and economic sanctions regulations
- Understanding of enterprise AML/CTF policies and guidelines
- Experience with suspicious activity reporting (SAR) processes
- Familiarity with financial crime risk assessment in payment and wealth products
- Ability to oversee implementation of regulatory changes
- Subject matter expertise in AML/CTF and sanctions matters
- Experience supporting second line of defence testing in financial crime compliance
Responsibilities
- Support compliance within the UK Branch with local laws on anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and economic sanctions
- Monitor the legal and regulatory framework with the UK MLRO through participation in regulatory change management
- Assist in the management of the suspicious activity reporting (SAR) process with the centralised EFCC Investigation team
- Support and coordinate management focus on money laundering risk in business areas and provide AML/CTF expertise
- Support the second line of defence testing program and conduct reviews where required
- Support development of UK Branch policies and procedures for countering financial crime risks
- Review high risk customer escalations as required
- Assist in developing an effective anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing compliance culture
