About this role
An opportunity has arisen within LBCM Financial Markets working in our Rates trading team. LBCM Financial Markets is the customer-facing Rates, FX and Commodities sales and trading business of Lloyds Banking Group based in London, 33 Old Broad Street. Our growing business needs to expand to meet strategic customer, market and business goals.
The Rates Trading Desk provides LBCM clients with access to market leading UK-focused Rates Products as a GEMM. You’ll support business growth in line with LBCM’s strategy and manage risk in a coordinated manner. Responsibilities include pricing, booking transactions and carrying out risk management actions.
Work closely with Sales partners in pricing up transactions for customers and liaise with Risk and Finance partners on book management. Analyse risk reports and assist in daily P&L calculations. The team operates from London to deliver UK-focused Rates products effectively.

Requirements
- Strong numerical background and in-depth understanding of Financial Markets, including strong knowledge of Rates markets and products
- Good understanding of market and credit risk management
- Detailed knowledge of the regulatory and conduct agenda
- Fixed Income or other relevant trading experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Ability to establish, support and develop strong working relationships with internal and external clients and business partners
- Proven track record to deliver at high standards under time pressure
- Flexible approach to business requirements and working hours
Responsibilities
- Price and book transactions
- Carry out risk management actions such as hedging, portfolio analysis and scenario analysis
- Work closely with Sales partners in pricing up transactions for customers
