The internship program targets students and recent graduates pursuing careers in Investment Banking within a dynamic advisory team. The London Financial Sponsors Group leads coverage and execution for private equity clients in the UK and Europe.

Interns serve as junior analysts on deal teams handling strategic advisory, M&A, and financing transactions. They perform company and industry research to understand sector trends and client challenges. Support includes building financial models and conducting valuation analyses like DCF, LBO, and multiples.

Work in an entrepreneurial banking environment that highly values initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning. Interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants while participating in client presentations. Gain exposure to Investment Banking products including Debt, Equity, M&A, and Restructuring.

Requirements

  • Must be either a recent graduate, or on track to graduate from university or business school in Spring / Summer 2025
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interest for problem solving and client service
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word
  • Genuine interest in finance, resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm
  • Significant level of maturity and the ability to work under pressure to meet key client deadlines
  • Highly organized and proactive, with the initiative and ability to multitask and work with limited supervision
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform company and industry research and gain in-depth understanding of sector trends, client challenges and strategies
  • Prepare and participate in client presentations and transaction execution
  • Support deal teams in building, maintaining and using financial models
  • Perform financial and valuation analysis such as discounted cash flow analysis, leveraged buyout analysis and multiples valuation analysis
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Investment Banking products and services: Debt, Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions and Restructuring
  • Interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers and accountants
