The Manager – Asset Servicing & Asset Management Supervision role sits within the Wholesale Buy-Side Directorate at the Financial Conduct Authority. Requirements

  • Demonstrable leadership experience in financial regulation or supervision
  • Strong understanding of asset servicing, custody, fund services and asset management
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams delivering consistent supervisory outcomes
  • Experience applying judgement on complex, high-profile regulatory issues
  • Track record of engaging effectively with boards and senior executives
  • Ability to collaborate across internal teams and with international regulators

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and inspire a capable team overseeing buy-side firms, ensuring consistent, high-quality supervisory outcomes
  • Set clear priorities and strategic direction, ensuring focused and effective supervision across a complex portfolio
  • Own and deliver the supervisory strategy for Buy-Side Custody & Fund Services, enhancing oversight of critical market infrastructure
  • Apply judgement on complex and high-profile regulatory issues, guiding key decisions and interventions
  • Support risk focused supervision across asset servicing and asset management, tackling investor protection and operational resilience
  • Manage engagement with senior stakeholders including Boards and executives, building trusted professional relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams and international regulators, delivering coordinated, forward-looking regulatory outcomes
  • Contribute to directorate strategy and cross organisational initiatives, supporting innovation and long-term priorities

Benefits

  • Salary ranging from £82,300 to £115,000 per annum in London (or £74,900 to £105,000 nationally)
