About this role
Dojo is looking for a KYC Analyst specialising in the payments industry to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate risks of money laundering, fraud, and financial crime. You will conduct thorough due diligence on new and existing customers, assess risk profiles, and verify identities and business activities. This role requires deep understanding of local and payment industry regulations, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
As part of our London-based KYC team focusing on the Irish market, you will review customer documentation including merchant applications, financial statements, legal agreements, and beneficial ownership information. Evaluate adequacy and accuracy of provided information, perform risk assessments, and investigate red flags or suspicious activities. Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to clarify discrepancies.

Requirements
- Proven experience working in a KYC, AML, or compliance-related role within the payments industry or financial services sector
- Irish market experience
- Proficiency in using KYC software, inclusive of eKYC tools and screening systems
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with ability to identify risks and analyse complex information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
- A team player with great people skills and a good sense of humour who can build relationships across the business
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive KYC checks on new and existing customers, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies
- Review customer documentation, including merchant applications, financial statements, legal agreements, and beneficial ownership information
- Evaluate adequacy and accuracy of customer-provided information and perform risk assessments based on established criteria
- Investigate and resolve red flags, inconsistencies, or suspicious activities during due diligence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to obtain additional information
- Stay updated on local and payment industry regulations, card scheme rules, and best practices
- Maintain accurate records of due diligence activities, including audit trails and risk assessments
- Report potential cases of money laundering, fraud, or suspicious activities to the Financial Crime Compliance Team
