About this role
This senior leadership role guides the Business Development team globally within the banking and capital markets industry. The Director is accountable for orderbook and pipeline creation, ensuring sustainable revenue and margin growth.
Day-to-day responsibilities include achieving personal and industry targets, developing sales talent, and executing the industry vision and strategy in close partnership with the Managing Director. The Director leads high-stakes negotiations and drives the global go-to-market strategy for the industry.
The role involves fostering a culture aligned with Endava's core values, emphasizing diversity, and ensuring adherence to frameworks like the Business Winning Model and Client Growth Model. The Director collaborates with the Global Client Director and Industry Advisor Team to refine the banking/capital market strategy.

Requirements
- Proven experience in business development within banking or capital markets
- Strong leadership and team development skills with a focus on guiding career progression
- Expertise in creating and executing global go-to-market strategies
- Ability to lead high-stakes commercial negotiations and make informed decisions
- Financial management skills including forecasting, budgeting, and P&L alignment
- Deep understanding of Business Winning Model (BWM) and Client Growth Model (CGM) frameworks
- Industry connections and credibility to establish the company as a key market participant
Responsibilities
- Lead the Business Development team to achieve personal and industry targets
- Develop Business Development talent, guiding skill mastery and career progression with clear success plans for each direct report
- Support the definition and execution of the industry vision and strategy in close partnership with the Managing Director
- Drive adherence to Endava processes, particularly embedding the Business Winning Model (BWM) and Client Growth Model (CGM) frameworks
- Create and evolve the global go-to-market strategy for the industry, identifying challenges and aligning relevant solutions
- Manage the industry pipeline of new opportunities, driving sales cadences to ensure progress on pursuits
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with clients to ensure favorable terms and conditions
- Ensure accurate forecasts, budgets, projections, and compliance with governance and business rules
