About this role

The core responsibility of an Audit Manager is to plan, execute and manage audits in accordance with the agreed Internal Audit plan. The Audit Manager ensures the quality of audit work performed, along with its efficiency and effectiveness. The role covers legal entities of ABC IB in London and Turkey, and ABC SA in Paris with branches in Frankfurt and Milan.

Lead and manage audits by preparing planning documents and terms of reference, designing and executing test plans within allocated timescales, maintaining clear working papers, and writing high-quality audit issues, observations, and reports. Provide reliable independent assurance to the Bank’s Audit Committee and Senior Management, including recommendations for risk management improvements.

Follow-up and validate completed action plans for internal audit issues, offering assurance on their status. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and staff to demonstrate awareness of Bank strategy, changes, risks, and developments, aiding the team's risk assessment.

Undertake ad-hoc tasks directed by the Head of Internal Audit, such as managing special projects, preparing reports for senior management, departmental administration, or handling staff queries. Contribute to delivering the internal audit plan through audit work, control testing, and liaising with business management.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of the Banking regulatory environment
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of the operations and structure of a Bank
  • Demonstrable product knowledge of Bank products, preferably Trade Finance, and awareness of risks associated with information technology, information security, prudential risk, financial crime/anti-money laundering, operational risk, and compliance risk
  • Sound knowledge and application of internal audit methodology
  • Relevant professional or academic qualification at graduate level
