EBRD’s motto is: We invest in changing lives. We achieve this by partnering our investment funds with donor contributions to maximise the development impact of our work. This senior role in the Bilateral Partnerships team leads a portfolio of multi-donor funds and drives donor engagement with government donors.

The postholder manages key bilateral relationships, including expanding the portfolio of Arab donors. Oversight covers multi-donor funds like SEMED Fund, West Bank & Gaza Funds, Ukraine Multi-Donor Fund. Responsibilities blend representation, fundraising, and fund management across sectors and countries.

Situated in the Donor Partnerships division, the role maintains strategic relations with bilateral, multilateral and EU donors. The postholder develops a strong network across the Bank for closer collaboration. Strong leadership, management and communication skills drive cross-organisational success.

This exciting position supports EBRD's expansion into Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. Work with donors from North America, Europe, East Asia and new countries of operation. Lead modernisation of funds to become main vehicles for donor contributions.

Requirements

Experience managing multi-donor funds in development finance institutions
Proven track record in fundraising from bilateral and government donors
Knowledge of grant and blended finance donor tools across sectors
Expertise in donor reporting and financial management of grant funds
Strong relationships with Arab, North American, European and East Asian donors
Ability to lead modernisation and standardisation of donor funding vehicles
Experience supporting institutional expansion into new markets like MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa

Responsibilities

Deliver high quality management of multi-donor funds including SEMED Fund, West Bank & Gaza Funds, Action for Equality and Gender Fund, Ukraine Multi-Donor Fund, Small Business Impact Fund, Sustainable Infrastructure Fund, and SME Local Currency Fund
Mobilise new funding from existing and new donor partners through stakeholder planning, compelling marketing and high quality delivery
Organise annual fund events, often hosted overseas
Lead standardisation, modernisation and improvement of funds, reporting and donor engagement
Develop new multi-donor funds or funding vehicles as needed
Support EBRD expansion to Africa and Iraq through increased donor funds in relevant sectors
Ensure high quality donor reporting, prudent financial management of funds, and impactful donor engagement
Expand portfolio of Arab donors and lead wider donor relations
