About this role

We are looking for a Compliance Business Partner to join our Risk and Compliance function. You will play a key role in supporting the business to maintain strong regulatory standards while enabling sustainable commercial growth. Reporting directly into the Fractional Compliance Leader, this hands-on second line role suits 3-6 years’ experience in financial services compliance.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across broking, underwriting, partnerships, product, and operations. Provide clear, pragmatic regulatory advice and ensure compliance frameworks are effectively embedded. Act as a trusted advisor while building strong relationships to support compliant decision-making.

Monitor regulatory developments like FCA publications and thematic reviews, assessing impact on the business. Interpret and advise on rules including ICOBS, SYSC, and Consumer Duty. Conduct gap analysis and provide second line oversight on regulatory change implementation.

Support design and execution of a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan, conducting thematic reviews on financial promotions, product governance, and distribution. Oversee policy reviews, documentation of controls, and remediation tracking. Prepare compliance Management Information for Risk & Compliance governance forums.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years’ experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role within a regulated financial services environment
  • Ideally experience within an insurance broker
  • Strong technical knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority requirements
  • Ability to influence and partner with the business in a fast-paced, digital insurance environment
  • Experience providing pragmatic regulatory advice to senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with ICOBS, SYSC, and Consumer Duty
  • Skills in product governance, fair value assessments, and distribution arrangements

  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business
  • Interpret and advise on FCA rules and guidance, including ICOBS, SYSC, and Consumer Duty
  • Conduct gap analysis against new regulatory requirements and provide second line oversight
  • Support development, implementation, and enhancement of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct thematic reviews and control testing across key regulatory areas like financial promotions and vulnerable customers
