The Investment Banking Analyst is a junior-level role assisting clients in raising capital markets funds and providing strategic advisory for mergers, acquisitions, and financial transactions. The objective is to support the team and seniors in acting as strategic advisors by formulating investment ideas and strategies.

Analysts work closely with senior officers and professionals on client transactions, projects, or assignments as the junior team member. They organize and analyze sophisticated financial data for proposals and plans in a dynamic environment. The role involves building models and preparing materials amid strong deal activity.

Requirements

  • Previous Investment Banking and/or Advisory experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills for financial data and modeling
  • Understanding of capital markets, M&A and valuation techniques
  • Knowledge of consumer industry trends and financial performance metrics

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior officers and professionals and participate in client transactions, projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team
  • Organize and analyse sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans
  • Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals
  • Conduct economic and financial research
  • Evaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends
  • Build complex financial models for valuation and M&A analysis purposes
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, driving compliance with laws, rules and regulations
