About this role

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner sits within the Colleague Experience Group, Amex’s Human Resources function responsible for global colleague benefits, career growth, leadership development and recruitment programs. The role builds recruitment strategy for business units across Amex UK sites while ensuring the Colleague Value Proposition remains central to all activity.

Day-to-day work covers the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including market intelligence, candidate slating, sourcing strategy and headhunting for complex or niche roles. The partner maintains strong stakeholder relationships, delivers data-driven insights and ensures a high-quality candidate experience throughout every search.

The position carries high autonomy and visibility, requiring the partner to coach and mentor colleagues while acting as primary delegate for the Talent Acquisition Manager. Strong senior stakeholder management and the ability to present recruitment data and trends are essential for success in this environment.

Requirements

  • Recruitment experience in a fast-paced global environment handling end-to-end activities including talent branding, sourcing strategies, selection and data management.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across multiple levels.
  • Proven ability to support wider Talent Acquisition Partners with complex and high-impact recruitment cases.
  • Experience managing challenging and niche hiring requirements while partnering with the business to execute effective sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, confidence and visibility within the organisation.
  • Capability to act as delegate for the Talent Acquisition Manager when required.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and other recruitment tools to improve process efficiencies.
  • Outstanding assessment and interviewing skills with strong command of selection methodologies and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of the end-to-end recruitment process and develop recruitment strategy for business units across Amex UK sites.
  • Drive great candidate experience while owning relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver on recruitment objectives.
  • Leverage market intelligence and industry trends to build candidate slates, shortlist high-quality candidates and identify effective sourcing channels.
  • Manage complex and niche hiring requirements by implementing sourcing and headhunting strategies with the Colleague Value Proposition at the forefront.
  • Support, source, coach and mentor colleagues in the team while working independently on projects and process improvements.
  • Act as primary delegate for the Talent Acquisition Manager and step in as needs arise.
  • Present data and insights on the recruitment process to senior stakeholders.
