Maven Securities is a market-leading proprietary trading firm deploying its own capital across discretionary, systematic, and market-making strategies. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist in the London office. You will operate within the global People function as the go-to ER subject-matter expert supporting teams across APAC, Europe, and the US.

In a highly regulated trading environment, you will manage a varied and high-risk employee relations caseload including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, and performance concerns. Advise on business-critical organisational change like redundancies and international transfers while ensuring regional compliance. Provide practical guidance to leaders on employee matters reflecting the fast-paced nature of the industry.

Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to maintain regulatory integrity in ER processes. Develop and deliver targeted training for managers globally to build ER capability. Draft and implement HR policies aligned with UK, APAC, and US employment laws and trading regulatory standards.

Lead complex employment contract projects navigating multi-region requirements, including restrictive covenants. Monitor ER metrics like turnover and absences to identify trends and recommend improvements. Contribute to broader HR initiatives fostering a positive working culture worldwide.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or Level 7 (preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record managing complex ER caseloads in a regulated, fast-paced, international environment
  • Experience within finance and professional services
  • Knowledge of UK, APAC, and US employment law and best practices
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards in trading environments
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complex matters with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
  • Experience advising on organisational change and compliance in multi-region operations

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied and high-risk employee relations caseload across all regions, including disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, investigations, performance and capability concerns
  • Advise on and support the implementation of business-critical organisational change, including redundancies and international transfers, ensuring regional compliance
  • Develop and deliver targeted training for managers in APAC, Europe, and the US, building ER capability and confidence
  • Draft, harmonise and implement robust HR and ER policies reflecting UK, APAC, and US employment law and regulatory standards
  • Proactively ensure people-related actions align with employment law and internal requirements, supporting regulatory obligations
  • Act as a trusted partner providing practical, timely, and legally sound guidance on employee matters
  • Lead and manage complex employment contract projects, including drafting and enforcement of non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality clauses across geographies
  • Mediate disputes, lead fair investigations, and monitor ER metrics to present actionable recommendations
