The Investment Associate role requires seasoned professionals to apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge while contributing to new techniques and improved processes. Strong analytical skills are essential to filter, prioritise and validate complex material from multiple sources.
Day-to-day work centres on servicing High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients across the UK and wider EMEA region. The position focuses on understanding investment objectives and partnering with senior team members to deliver tailored investment solutions.
Team members monitor markets using Citi Global Wealth Investment Committee views, prepare investment policy statements and analyse economic trends. They recommend portfolio adjustments and support the execution of investment themes while maintaining strict compliance with FCA regulations and prospecting conduct rules.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in economics, finance or business administration
- In-depth disciplinary knowledge and understanding of how areas integrate within the sub-function
- Good analytical skills to filter, prioritise and validate complex material from multiple sources
- Basic understanding of financial planning concepts including pensions, ISAs, investments and protection
- Awareness of FCA regulations and compliance principles
- Interest in developing technical knowledge across financial planning areas
Responsibilities
- Provide service and investment advice to High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients within the UK and wider EMEA region.
- Support senior investment team members in delivering investment solutions to clients.
- Work closely with the Banking Team to prepare and deliver financial plans that generate sustained investment pipeline.
- Monitor markets and provide guidance to internal and external clients incorporating Citi Global Wealth Investment Committee views.
- Prepare investment policy statements for prospective clients and analyse economic trends affecting investor portfolios.
- Recommend changes to holdings after evaluating economic, financial and market factors and their potential portfolio impact.
- Develop relationships with bankers and clients that lead to growth of the asset base.
- Adhere to the prospecting code of conduct and assess risk while driving compliance with applicable laws and policies.
