Grant Thornton

London, GB · Full-time · £70,000 – £90,000

About this role

This role serves as an embedded first-line financial-crime specialist within the firm's insolvency service lines, providing direct support to live insolvency appointments. You will identify, assess, and resolve AML, sanctions, and fraud risks on complex, time-critical cases while supporting Insolvency Practitioners in meeting their regulatory obligations.

Exercising delegated first-line decision-making authority, you will make case-level judgements on client due diligence, sanctions exposure, and suspicious activity. You will advise partners, directors, and case teams on financial-crime strategy, analysing intelligence to recommend pragmatic actions that balance compliance with commercial delivery.

You will work closely with leading asset recovery, restructuring, and financial services teams, acting as the central escalation point for complex financial-crime issues. Collaboration with legal advisers and second-line Financial Crime Compliance ensures regulatory breaches are prevented and the firm's reputation is protected.

Part of a top-tier professional services firm, you will help shape case-level responses to evolving financial-crime risks. The role offers the chance to develop deep expertise in insolvency and restructuring, with support for flexible working and a balanced career.
