About this role

In Deutsche Bank's Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), the Senior Data Architect & Modeler supports the Corporate Banking (CB) Data Office. You'll design and develop enterprise logical and physical data models to drive the CB business data strategy. This ensures consistent views of business activity across CB, Risk, Finance, and Treasury.

Models created by the CB Model design team must be agreed upon by data producers and consumers while adhering to group CDO standards and industry standards. You'll handle creation and rollout of these models in a dynamic heterogeneous environment. This includes processing platforms and the new CB Data Factory at the core of Big Data analytics.

Work closely with CB business domains and IT groups to align models with current and future requirements. Provide data modelling leadership to business application development teams, staying aware of future system directions. Coordinate technical assistance for specific development projects.

Maintain and inventory data modelling artefacts per bank data policies. Understand model impacts on the bank's technology and data landscape to drive efficient solutions. Operate within a hybrid working model that supports flexible remote work patterns.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of transaction banking domain and end-to-end workflow for banking and trading business
  • Data modelling experience designing enterprise logical data models and physical data models (UML)
  • Exposure to modelling tools including Enterprise Architect and PowerDesigner
  • Ability to drive conversations with business SMEs on data requirements
  • Familiarity with group CDO standards and industry data standards
  • Understanding of Big Data analytics environments like CB Data Factory

Responsibilities

  • Provide data modelling leadership to business application development teams, being cognizant of future system directions
  • Work closely with CB business domains and IT groups to align data models to current and future requirements and standards
  • Coordinate and provide technical assistance to facilitate specific development projects
  • Complete, maintain, and inventory data modelling artefacts as required by bank data policies
  • Design enterprise logical data models and physical data models to support CB business data strategy
  • Ensure models are agreed by data producers and consumers and adhere to group CDO standards and industry standards
  • Roll out models in heterogeneous environments including processing platforms and CB Data Factory
