About this role
LSEG seeks a Senior Manager to lead Financial Crime Advisory for Post Trade and Digital Markets. This role includes holding the SMF17 position for regulated entities within these business areas. The role sits within the Group Financial Crime second line of defence function.
You will oversee compliance with AML and broader financial crime legislation, monitor and submit suspicious activity reports, and perform regulatory reporting to external bodies. You will also report to the Entities’ Boards and Risk Committees to provide transparency on financial crime matters. Serve as the primary contact point for financial crime risk events and higher risk scenarios.
You will work closely with partners across the Post Trade and Digital Markets businesses to drive financial crime compliance and accountability. Requirements
- Extensive experience in financial crime compliance within financial services or related sectors
- Strong knowledge of UK AML legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Senior Manager and Certification Regime
- Experience in a senior management function (SMF17) or equivalent regulatory role
- Proven ability to lead risk assessments and advise on financial crime risks and controls
- Experience with suspicious activity reporting (SARs) and external regulatory reporting
- Strong stakeholder management and experience reporting to boards and senior management
- Understanding of post-trade and digital markets sectors or similar capital markets operations
- Analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail and regulatory compliance
Responsibilities
- Oversight of entities’ compliance with AML and broader Financial Crime legislation
- Holder of Senior Management Function (SMF17) for Money Laundering under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime
- Accountable for oversight of compliance with the Group’s policies and procedures for countering the risk that the firm may be used to foster Financial Crime
- Monitoring, review and external submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
- Regulatory reporting to external regulators and bodies on Financial Crime matters
- Reporting to the Entities’ Boards, Risk Committees and Senior Management providing transparency and oversight of FC matters
- Contact point for FC matters, risk events and higher risk scenarios
- Oversight of Financial Crime risk assessments to ensure appropriate identification and impact assessment of FC risk within the entities
