Execute in-depth analyses to support new business development, transaction execution, and delivery of investment banking products and services. Perform research and financial modeling, apply core valuation methods, and complete due diligence activities at the direction of the Investment Banking team lead. Work closely with client staff to advance projects and present results.
Build financial models using comparable companies, precedents, and discounted cash flow methods. Draft management presentations and marketing materials emphasizing William Blair's investment banking approach. Participate in client meetings, research industries, and identify deal issues to escalate to team members.

Requirements
- Proficiency in core valuation methods such as comparable companies, precedents and discounted cash flow
- Strong financial modeling skills for valuing clients, industries, debt and equity
- Experience conducting due diligence, research and analysis for transactions
- Ability to synthesize complex financial modeling outcomes and present results
- Knowledge of mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions
- Skills in drafting presentations and marketing materials for investment banking
- Understanding of macro factors related to client industries and investment banking products
Responsibilities
- Perform extensive financial/valuation analyses to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions
- Build financial models to value potential and actual clients and/or industries using comparable companies, precedents and discounted cash flow
- Perform due diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions
- Draft management presentations to highlight financial analysis and research results
- Assist in the development, production and delivery of proposals and presentations to clients and prospects
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions
- Research industries or sectors to target certain clients or industries
- Seek opportunities to streamline processes and propose solutions to complete tasks more efficiently
