Partner closely with HR and management to deliver key objectives via the people agenda. Combine organisational understanding with HR expertise to tailor solutions meeting needs now and in the future.
Provide commercially focused and pragmatic solutions for all employment related matters. Coach leaders and managers to foster positive working relationships with employees. Ensure people plans and activities are delivered consistently across the business.
Work collaboratively as an integral part of business area management teams, influencing people strategy in line with business objectives. Advise and coach on complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters with the HR Adviser team. Cover for Head of HR, advising GEC members as a key contact.
Support large change management initiatives like acquisitions and transformations, minimising ER impacts. Coach and mentor HR Business Partners for development. Build high-performance culture reinforcing values, underpinned by strong performance management.
Requirements
- In depth knowledge of UK employment law and experience in resolving complex people related issues
- Understanding of the regulations impacting Professional Services
- Strong commercial and business acumen to assess risk and opportunities for the organisation
- Proven track record of managing complexity and change
- Experience of operating effectively at a senior level with strong influencing skills and ability to challenge appropriately
- Ability to work at pace, with ambiguity, and deliver against established personal and team targets
- Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal skills
Responsibilities

- Manage relationships and expectations to provide proactive, commercially sound insights and flexible solutions addressing organisational challenges
- Advise and coach managers through complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters
- Cover for Head of HR as required, providing advice to GEC members as a key contact
- Support effective implementation of large/complex change management initiatives including acquisitions and business transformation projects
- Coach and mentor HR Business Partners for personal development and effective business support
- Create and contribute to policy and process development ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
- Design and deliver Management Information (MI), interpret results to identify trends translating to HR initiatives
