PJT Partners is a global advisory-focused investment bank delivering strategic advisory, restructuring and private fund advisory services to corporations, sponsors and governments. The Strategic Advisory Group has executed some of the largest and most complex transactions of the past twenty years across technology, energy, healthcare and consumer sectors.

The Strategic Capital Markets Advisory team operates from New York and London with frequent cross-region collaboration. The London team has advised on high-profile mandates for clients including Aggreko, ASDA, ASOS, Alstom, EG Group and Porsche SE.

As an Associate you will sit within the Advisory Group while working closely with the Restructuring and Special Situations Group. You will evaluate capital structures, model cash flows and review credit documents on live financing assignments.

The role offers direct exposure to M&A and restructuring franchises, frequent client interaction and responsibility for managing analysts on both transaction and business-development work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a top ranked university

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with financial sponsor and corporate clients across all industries in evaluating, structuring and executing financing alternatives
  • Advise clients on syndicated acquisition financings, private credit lending, par and stressed refinancings, liability management and structured financings
  • Analyse capital structures, cashflow models, credit documents and indentures to support transaction execution
  • Facilitate due diligence and discussions with companies, legal counsel and advisors on capital raising mandates
  • Perform ratings analyses and maintain direct interaction with clients, banks and funds throughout transactions
  • Manage analysts staffed on live transactions and on internal and external business development projects
