The Junior HR Business Partner supports delivery of commercially aligned HR solutions for the Corporate & Commercial pillar. Embed within the business to foster strong stakeholder relationships and understand requirements. Collaborate with the HRBP to provide appropriate HR solutions enabling business plans.

Work in a transformational environment with divisional leaders building substantial businesses. Seamlessly collaborate with Centres of Expertise in Recruitment, Reward, Talent & Development, and HR Ops. Deliver best-in-class people interventions underpinning growth and transformation.

Support effective people strategies across the Corporate & Commercial pillar and wider Retail business. Bring prior experience partnering fast-paced, commercial businesses while embedding consistent HR practices. Demonstrate track record of delivery working with HR Director and Centres of Expertise.

Requirements

  • Prior experience partnering with a fast-paced, highly commercial and ambitious business
  • Experience embedding consistent HR practices with demonstrable track record of delivery
  • Experience working with a HR Director and colleagues in the Centres of Expertise
  • Ability to contribute to broader HR initiatives and group strategy and growth
  • Knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, performance, and talent management processes
  • Familiarity with people-related elements of organisational change like mergers and acquisitions
  • Understanding of compensation and rewards processes
  • Awareness of external market trends in HR for insurance and professional services

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Business Partner in implementing people initiatives that align with the business strategy and objectives for Howden UK&I Retail
  • Assist in gathering and understanding information about the pillar’s people, their aspirations, challenges, and talent requirements
  • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, performance, and talent management activities
  • Facilitate the coordination of people-related elements of organisational change, such as mergers and acquisitions
  • Collaborate closely with team members across HR and the business to deliver a consistent employee experience
  • Collaborate with Centres of Expertise to support development and delivery of tailored solutions
  • Assist in administering the annual compensation and rewards process
  • Assist in collecting and analysing HR data to inform recommendations
