About this role
Monzo is on a mission to make money work for everyone, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to shape the future of Borrowing. Borrowing spans credit health, personal loans, overdrafts, credit cards like Flex, and homeownership products.
You'll work at the intersection of Product, Design, Research and Marketing to define how we win, what we build, and how we communicate to customers. Product Marketing at Monzo is deliberately upstream, focusing on customer problems, market opportunities, and product direction before campaigns. This role is embedded within Borrowing product squads, giving you direct influence on product strategy.
You'll partner closely with downstream marketing teams to ensure launches land effectively and products are represented consistently across channels. You'll also work with legal, compliance and risk teams to navigate regulatory requirements. The Integrated Marketing team handles campaign execution, allowing you to focus on upstream strategy and proposition development.
This role offers the chance to shape a key growth area as Monzo expands internationally and builds next-generation borrowing experiences. You'll influence product direction from concept through launch, helping Monzo win in the UK and new markets. Your insights will directly impact customer lives and the company's strategic priorities.
Requirements
- Shaped product strategy and influenced what gets built, not just how it's marketed.
- Taken products, propositions or categories from concept through to launch, particularly in 0→1 environments.
- Customer-first approach, using customer, market and competitive insight to inform decisions.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or lending products, with understanding of credit health and borrowing products.
- Proven ability to partner with product, design, research, and marketing teams to drive product direction.
- Strong analytical skills to identify market opportunities and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Comfortable working in a regulated environment, collaborating with legal, compliance, and risk teams.
Responsibilities
- Shaping products by bringing customer, market and competitive insight into product strategy, prioritisation and roadmap decisions.
- Identifying and scoping market opportunities across the UK and new international markets through customer, competitor and market analysis.
- Leading product marketing for new products, features and market launches from early concept through to launch.
- Creating compelling propositions, positioning and messaging frameworks that turn product capabilities into clear customer value.
- Championing the customer voice through research, insight and a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviours and motivations.
- Partnering closely with downstream marketing teams to ensure launches land effectively and products are represented consistently across channels.
- Working with legal, compliance and risk teams to ensure products and messaging meet regulatory requirements.
Benefits
- Salary range £78,000 - £100,000
- Comprehensive benefits package as detailed on Monzo's careers page
- Opportunity to shape a key growth area at a leading fintech
