About this role

The Group HR Business Partner provides strategic HR support aligned with the Group's objectives and firm strategy. They enable delivery of people plans, including calendar activities and leadership meeting agendas. This role ensures HR initiatives drive business goals effectively.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting talent management, promotions, and career mapping across the Group. Manage performance reviews, improvement plans, and employee relations cases like grievances, disciplinaries, and absence. Handle recruitment, onboarding, and early talent matters such as trainee performance and seat moves.

Collaborate with the SHRBP, leadership teams, recruitment, L&D, and ER specialists. Coach managers to build strong people-management capabilities and champion best practices. Work closely on salary reviews, bonus nominations, and probation processes.

Analyse HR data, deliver exit interview insights, and provide regular reporting to the business. Contribute to Group projects based on capacity and skills. Support ad-hoc HR needs like formal hearings to foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in strategic HR business partnering within professional services
  • Proven ability to coach and influence managers on performance management
  • Track record managing employee relations cases including disciplinaries and grievances
  • Knowledge of talent management, promotions and career pathway development
  • Familiarity with early talent processes such as trainee management
  • Skills in HR data analysis, reporting and moderation processes
  • Ability to support reward processes like salary reviews and bonus nominations

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support that enables delivery of Group objectives and strategy
  • Support delivery and implementation of people calendar activities
  • Support Group-wide talent management plan and promotion pipeline
  • Ensure annual performance review process is completed on time with moderation
  • Manage core employee relations cases including grievances, disciplinaries and sickness absence
  • Provide proactive recruitment support and act as main HR contact for new starters
  • Support annual salary review process including benchmarking and communication
  • Run HR reports, analyse people data and provide exit interview insights
