About this role

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our Renewables team in London, supporting our large-scale European repowering development and value-creation initiatives, with a particular focus on the German-speaking market.

Key responsibilities include managing local development partners and external consultants on legal, tax, and technical matters, overseeing land lease securing and permitting processes, and providing financial analysis to support ongoing decision-making during development.

You will assist with preparing investment papers for internal approvals, developing and refining project financial models, and analyzing market developments affecting the portfolio to guide strategic decisions on repowering and hybridisation.

This role offers the chance to work on high-impact energy transition projects within a leading global investor, with opportunities to contribute to offtake solutions, financing packages, and long-term operational contracts in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Requirements

Strong academic credentials with a relevant degree such as Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or Renewables & Finance
At least 4 years of relevant experience in Renewables Transactions/Development or Asset Management at a leading developer, utility, or financial investor
Good understanding of Renewables asset valuation and contractual market standards
Good understanding of legal, tax, accounting, regulatory and technical matters related to wind and solar assets
Ability to think strategically with respect to optimisation of renewables assets, assessing financial engineering and structuring options
Structured, diligent work approach with high degree of dedication
Proficiency in English and German; knowledge of another European language beneficial
Good knowledge of MS Office software and Power BI, with data analytics skills

Responsibilities

Support repowering development and value-creation activities such as battery hybridisation in Germany, Austria, and other markets for internal and third-party investors
Manage local development partners and Allianz external consultants (legal, tax, technical) throughout the development process
Oversee land lease securing strategy and permitting process
Support negotiation and execution of construction and long-term operation contracts
Prepare offtake solutions including analysis of government auctions and assessment of PPA options
Assist in preparing investment papers for internal approval processes with economic analysis and presentation
Develop and refine project financial models, producing robust economic analysis and sensitivities
Monitor market developments affecting the portfolio and analyse potential impact on the development pipeline
